Up for sale is an early Japanese LaserDisc pressing of The Way We Were (1973), Sydney Pollack's classic romantic drama starring Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford. The film follows the turbulent love story between free-spirited political activist Katie and handsome aspiring writer Hubbell, set against the backdrop of 1940s Hollywood and the McCarthy era Red Scare. Winner of two Academy Awards including Best Original Song for Streisand's iconic title theme, it remains one of the most beloved Hollywood romances. This is catalog number SF050-5279, a 2-disc CLV set released in Japan by RCA/Columbia Pictures Video, with English mono audio and Japanese subtitles. An early Japanese pressing with a full Japanese gatefold liner essay.

The cover shows light age-related yellowing and wear along the edges consistent with a mid-1980s pressing. The inner gatefold liner notes are clean and intact. The disc shows light surface marks consistent with age and handling. No OBI strip is included with this copy.
