Content

Francis Ford Coppola's 1983 art-house teen drama, the second of his S.E. Hinton adaptations following The Outsiders. Shot in striking black-and-white with expressionistic cinematography, time-lapse clouds, and the iconic Siamese fighting fish rendered in color — the only color in the film. Rusty James idolizes his older brother, the legendary and enigmatic Motorcycle Boy, while struggling to find his own identity in a decaying Oklahoma city. Score by The Police drummer Stewart Copeland. A cult classic featuring early performances by Nicolas Cage, Diane Lane, and Dennis Hopper.
