As the spacecraft Helios approaches a massive black hole, the program explores the physics of extreme gravity, time dilation, and the event horizon, drawing on supercomputer-generated graphics to visualize phenomena beyond direct observation. The back cover features a stunning galaxy spiral image and depicts the Helios craft approaching a black hole accretion disk. Features NHK Super Harp camera footage, CG, special effects, dramatic reconstruction, and the series' spatial sound design system. Music by Haru Takauchi. Co-produced with RAI-TV (Italy).
