This is the rare and highly sought-after Japanese LaserDisc Deluxe Box Set release of Katsuhiro Otomo's Memories (メモリーズ), catalog number BEAL-926, published by Emotion/Bandai Visual. This is the premium CAV Deluxe version — not the standard CLV release — and is widely regarded as one of the finest anime LaserDisc box sets ever produced. The outer slipcase (OBI/header band) is present and intact. The set includes the elaborate matte black outer box with Otomo's red wax seal stamp design, the inner disc box, three individual disc jackets with stunning original artwork for each episode, and the full deluxe booklet/pamphlet. All individual disc jackets still appear to be in their original poly sleeves.

About the Film:

Memories is an anthology of three animated short films produced by Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira) and presented as three separate discs in this set. "Magnetic Rose" (directed by Koji Morimoto, screenplay by Satoshi Kon) follows salvagers who discover an abandoned space station haunted by a faded opera diva's memories. "Stink Bomb" (directed by Tensai Okamura) is a darkly comedic chase involving an accidental biological catastrophe. "Cannon Fodder" (directed by Otomo himself) is a single-shot, day-in-the-life film set in a dystopian militarized city. The film is celebrated as a landmark of 1990s anime and a showcase of the era's finest animation talent.
