Belle de Jour was directed by Luis Buñuel and stars Catherine Deneuve in one of her most iconic and enigmatic roles as Séverine, a bourgeois Parisian housewife who secretly spends her afternoons working at a high-end brothel. The cast also includes Jean Sorel, Michel Piccoli, Geneviève Page, Pierre Clémenti, and Macha Méril. The film won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and is widely considered one of the masterworks of surrealist cinema.
