Documents the historic 59th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, June 22–23, 1991 — the race in which the Mazda 787B (car #55, Renown/Charge/Cibie livery) became the first and only Japanese car — and the first and only rotary-engined car — to win Le Mans outright. The back jacket tagline reads: その日、ロータリーが吼えた。 — "That day, the rotary roared." And: 1991年6月23日、日本車初の快挙にル・マンが沸いた — "June 23, 1991 — Le Mans erupted with Japan's first-ever victory."

The cover features the winning Mazda 787B (#55, Renown livery) in full race action. Back jacket photos include the 787B in the pits, the Silk Cut Jaguar #33, and additional race action.
