Water's Path is an ambient music video experience showcasing the music of Windham Hill Records, following the journey of water from the mountains of Northern California to the sea and back — filmed with 35mm cameras including aerial photography over California's Stanislaus National Forest and Yosemite. Featured artists include Michael Hedges, William Ackerman, Scott Cossu, Shadowfax, Bill Quist, Daniel Hecht, Ira Stein & Russel Walder, and George Winston. The production was filmed in association with Pioneer LDC and represents an early and beautifully produced example of the music video LaserDisc genre, aimed squarely at the audiophile and new age music enthusiast market.
