Up for sale is the Japanese LaserDisc release of Trois Couleurs: Rouge (Three Colors: Red, 1994), Kieślowski's rapturous and achingly beautiful conclusion to his Three Colors trilogy, widely considered one of the greatest films of the 1990s and a fitting farewell from a master filmmaker — Irène Jacob is luminous as a Geneva model whose chance encounter with a reclusive retired judge sets in motion a meditation on fate, coincidence, and human connection. Nominated for three Academy Awards including Best Director, this is catalog number ASLF-5049, a 2-disc CLV widescreen set released in Japan by Amuse Video and distributed by Pioneer LDC, with French stereo audio and Japanese subtitles, running 96 minutes. No OBI strip is present. The disc is still in its original inner plastic sleeve, and the jacket is in very good condition — the deep red cover art is vivid and clean with only light edge wear. Discs appear clean. Note: a LaserDisc player is required for playback — this disc is not compatible with DVD or Blu-ray players.
