Up for sale is the Japanese LaserDisc release of Trois Couleurs: Blanc (Three Colors: White, 1994), the wry and surprisingly playful middle chapter of Kieślowski's Three Colors trilogy — a darkly comic tale of humiliation, revenge, and obsessive love following a Polish hairdresser deported from France after his beautiful French wife Dominique, played by a radiant Julie Delpy, divorces him for failing to consummate their marriage. Winner of the Silver Bear for Best Director at Berlin, this is catalog number ASLF-5048, a 2-disc CLV widescreen set released in Japan by Amuse Video and distributed by Pioneer LDC, with French and Polish stereo audio and Japanese subtitles, running 89 minutes. No OBI strip is present. The disc is still in its original inner plastic sleeve; the jacket is in very good condition with clean, bright cover art and only light edge wear. Discs appear clean. Note: a LaserDisc player is required for playback — this disc is not compatible with DVD or Blu-ray players.
