Up for sale is the Japanese LaserDisc release of The River Wild (1994), Curtis Hanson's pulse-pounding action thriller starring two-time Oscar winner Meryl Streep, Kevin Bacon, and David Strathairn. Streep plays Gail, a former river guide who takes her family on a whitewater rafting trip, only to be taken hostage by two dangerous fugitives. Scored by Jerry Goldsmith, the film was a major commercial hit and showcased Streep in a physically demanding action role. This is catalog number PILF-2127, a 2-disc CLV set manufactured by Pioneer LDC for CIC Video Japan, presented in widescreen Scope format (1×2.35) with THX certification, LD-G digital audio, Dolby Surround, and Japanese and English subtitles. This copy is in excellent condition. The vibrant blue cover is clean with no notable wear. The OBI strip is present, intact, and in very good condition. Discs appear clean.
