Up for sale is the Japanese LaserDisc release of Swann in Love (1984), director Volker Schlöndorff's lavish adaptation of Marcel Proust's À la Recherche du Temps perdus. Jeremy Irons stars as Charles Swann, a cultured Parisian aristocrat hopelessly obsessed with the courtesan Odette de Crécy (Ornella Muti), while Alain Delon portrays the Baron de Charlus. Photographed by legendary cinematographer Sven Nykvist, the film is a richly appointed period drama set in Belle Époque Paris. This is catalog number SF078-5043, a CLV release distributed in Japan by Herald Enterprise/Pioneer, presented in widescreen (Vista Size) with a French mono audio track and Japanese subtitles.

The cream-colored cover shows age-related yellowing and tanning throughout, along with light soiling and minor edge wear consistent with a 1985 pressing. The disc itself appears clean and well-preserved. No OBI strip is included with this copy.
