Japanese pressing of Alain Resnais's landmark 1961 French New Wave masterpiece L'Année Dernière à Marienbad (Last Year at Marienbad), winner of the Golden Lion at the 1961 Venice Film Festival (1961年ヴェネチア映画祭グランプリ), as noted prominently on both the obi and back cover. Produced by Pierre Coureau and Raymond Froment; screenplay and dialogue by Alain Robbe-Grillet; directed by Alain Resnais; cinematography by Sacha Vierny; music by Francis Seyrig; décor by Jacques Saulnier.

Starring Delphine Seyrig, Giorgio Albertazzi, and Sacha Pitoëff. A mysterious man at a grand baroque hotel insists to a woman that they met the previous year at Marienbad and had a love affair she cannot — or will not — remember. One of the most analyzed and discussed films in the history of cinema, a defining work of modernist narrative and the French literary Left Bank movement.
