The 1989 season was the final year of the Senna/Prost McLaren-Honda partnership — one of the most dramatic in F1 history. The cover photo features a striking multi-car incident on track (identifiable Benetton, Camel-liveried Lotus, and Ferrari cars visible), and the back jacket features four driver portrait photos: Nigel Mansell (Marlboro Ferrari), an Epson-liveried driver (likely Thierry Boutsen or Satoru Nakajima, Williams-Renault), and an Elf Renault driver (Williams).
