This is the Japanese LaserDisc release of 37°2 le matin — L'Intégrale (Betty Blue: The Director's Cut), the extended 186-minute version of Jean-Jacques Beineix's acclaimed 1986 French drama, published by Pioneer LDC / CBS Fox Video Japan. This is the longer Intégrale cut — approximately 61 minutes longer than the original theatrical version — restoring scenes that deepen the central relationship between Zorg and Betty. The beautiful multi-page gatefold booklet with full Japanese cast and crew bios is present and in excellent condition. No OBI strip is present on this copy.

Betty Blue (37°2 le matin) is a landmark of French cinema directed by Jean-Jacques Beineix, starring Béatrice Dalle in her explosive debut performance as Betty, a passionate and volatile young woman, opposite Jean-Hugues Anglade as Zorg, her devoted but increasingly overwhelmed lover. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and the Palme d'Or at Cannes, and its score by Gabriel Yared became one of the most beloved in French film history. The Intégrale version, completed in 1991, is considered the definitive cut by Beineix and fans alike.
